The use of the Internet as well as other integrated technologies as a communication tool is now available to the Hotel/Motel/Lodging industry. Our company works with local Police Departments and member hotels, motels, and resorts to help alert, prevent, detect and respond to criminal threats and malicious incidents by sharing information between and across local and national corporate entities. The Inn Alert™ system may also be used as an added redundant communication tool whenever there is a major crime or catastrophe.

Our Inn Alert™ system is designed to facilitate information sharing. It utilizes the power and efficiency of the Internet. It works between local Police Departments and hotel/motel/resort members. It communicates details regarding robberies, assaults, arson, scams, at-large known criminals, threats, warnings, thefts, car prowls and other incidents. It is designed to help protect properties and the people who occupy and staff them.

By bringing together local Police and hotel/motel/resort members to aggregate, share and assess information immediately on various incidents, the information value increases. As a result, the Inn Alert™ system and its members are able to achieve communication objectives that no single hotel/motel/resort property, corporate group or local Police Department could accomplish alone.

The Inn Alert™ Role

Principally, the Inn Alert™ system serves three roles:

1. Utilize the Internet as a service provider, Inn Alert™ disseminates information from the local Police Departments via the web and immediate cell phone text messages and e-mail/s. It includes advisories, criminal alerts, relevant incidents and wanted criminals – including photos, to "members only" hotel/motel/resort participants. An alert may be disseminated to all members in a selected radius within seconds.
2. Disseminate information and facilitate communication between properties in a local area, and with local police and crime prevention agencies to detect patterns or trends. Members may develop coordinated action steps proactively. It does not replace the standard 9-1-1 call when a crime is committed or in progress.
3. Direct communication between neighboring properties to better serve customers. An example would be to check preferred properties’ room availability if yours is booked full. One click can also share any potentially suspicious behavior/persons. This "tailored" mass communication is via the feature "Inn Chat™."

With immediate and validated information, hotel/motel/resort staff and operators are better prepared, in addition to police services, to develop and activate their own security measures, including steps to protect staff, guests and property.
